Over the past few weeks, this series has touched on some of the biggest, some of the smallest, some of the coolest, and some of the weirdest concerts going on in the city. We’ve gone to a bunch of these shows (and have seen some of our best friends go to them), and can confirm one thing in regards to all these shows: they’re all so much fun. There are few experiences out there that are as exciting as live music, so take our advice: go to one of these gigs this week!
Noah Cyrus at the Phoenix Concert Theatre
Coming from a long line of talented musicians including her father Billy Ray and her sister Miley, Noah Cyrus has emerged as one of the (Grammy Nominated!) best new artists in recent memory, and is coming to Toronto for the release tour of her debut album, The Hardest Part!

Trivium at REBEL
One of the biggest names in heavy metal for the past two decades, Trivium is bringing their Deadmen and Dragons Tour to Toronto! They’ll be playing all their hits, as well as tracks from their latest two records: In The Court of the Dragon and What the Dead Men Say!

Warren Hue at the Velvet Underground
One of 88rising’s fastest growing stars, Warren Hue is bringing the Boy of the Year tour to Toronto! This Indonesian rapper was included in the NME 100 list of essential new artists in 2022, and was featured on the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings soundtrack!

Kurt Vile And The Violators at the Danforth Music Hall
One of the most prolific songwriters of the past two decades, Kurt Vile and his backing band, The Violators, are coming to the Danforth Music Hall! He released (watch my moves) earlier this year, but will be playing numerous tracks from his storied career!

The Lone Bellow at The Opera House
One of the best new country/Americana bands of the past decade, The Lone Bellow are making their way to Toronto ahead of the release of their new album, Love Songs for Losers! They’ll also be playing songs from their record Half Moon Light, released just before the pandemic!

BAYNK at the Axis Club
All the way from New Zealand, BAYNK is coming to the Axis Club! Known for his energetic and eye-catching performances, this show will not be one to miss! IN the meantime, check out his debut album: Adolescence! (the cover looks like Death Cab For Cutie’s Narrow Stairs, but if there was a glitch while downloading it).

Fletcher at HISTORY

Akintoye at the Velvet Underground
One of the brightest stars in Toronto hip-hop, Akintoye is performing at the Velvet Underground this Friday! He found fame through TikTok over the course of the pandemic, and used it to succeed in something he has been obsessed over (hip-hop) since he was a child! Check out his tracks I’m Broke and Overload.

Harm & Ease at Lee’s Palace
Danny Lopez and Rylan Whalen, known collectively as Harm & Ease, moved from Burlington to Buenos Aires, but returned to Canada after their Buenos Aires studio went up in flames. Now, they’ve used that event to light a (proverbial, in this case) fire underneath them, and they’re bringing their modern rock show to Lee’s Palace!

Joe Satriani at the Danforth Music Hall
The legendary guitarist is bringing his Earth Tour to the Danforth Music Hall; catch Joe Satriani live! For over 40 years, he has been teaching other legendary guitarists (including Steve Vai) and recording instrumental guitar records; in fact, he is the best-selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time!
