This winter, take to the ice on The Bentway Skate Trail’s 220-metre figure-eight loop! Located underneath the Gardiner Expressway, this gorgeous trail is a popular choice among skate enthusiasts year after year, and they host a variety of different events and exhibitions throughout the season! Not only do you to get enjoy one of Canada’s favourite pastimes, but you can support Toronto’s burgeoning art scene!

Let the Cavalcade of Lights Illuminate Your Skate at Nathan Phillips Square
Cavalcade of Lights is back, and for many, marks the official start to the holiday season in Toronto! Nathan Phillips Square will come to life with a glittering tree, gorgeous lights that will illuminate the city, and ice skating! This rink has been a quintessential Toronto experience for generations and has skate rentals for those in need, as well as local vendors nearby providing delicious treats!

When: Saturday, November 26th at 6:00 p.m. to Sunday, March 19th, 2023.

Enjoy the Scenery at Colonel Samuel Smith Park
Tucked away behind Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus, you’ll find Colonel Samuel Smith Park and their legendary figure 8! This park is located along a stretch of wooded shoreline and is home to a variety of plants, trees, wildlife, a network of paths and the city's first ice skating trail, which is over 130 years old! Their trail opens next weekend, and is one of Etobicoke’s finest hidden gems!

Lace Up for the Union Holiday Public Skating Rink
Part of Union Holiday, there will be a free outdoor skating rink at Union Station! Enjoy one of Canada’s favourite activities in a scenic setting in the middle of downtown Toronto, and if you get the chance, do it on one of the Union Beats Skate Nights, where local DJ’s will be mixing live from rinkside to amplify your skating experience! Show off your skills, or take a dive and make your date look like a pro!

Skate on Snow Flake Lake at Wonderland’s Winterfest
Winterfest, the holiday festival hosted by Canada’s Wonderland, features live performances, millions of spectacular lights, beautiful Christmas trees throughout the park, and skating on Snow Flake Lake! Glide down the ice on the shimmering, majestic Royal Fountain, transformed for the holiday season into Snow Flake Lake located in front of the iconic Wonder Mountain!
