1. Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is a large park located in The Beaches. It features stunning views with a boardwalk and beach that run along the Lake Ontario shoreline.

2. High Park
High Park is Toronto’s largest public park and it’s easily accessible by public transit. The park has many hiking trails, as well as a beautiful lakefront view.

3. Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area
Located approximately 1 hour from Toronto, this spot offers gorgeous views that will take your breath away. You’ll get to enjoy bold-faced cliffs and views of the escarpment.

4. Mono Cliffs Provincial Park
This provincial park is located on the picturesque Bruce Trail. There are numerous hiking trails to choose from and exciting features like canyons and cliffs. It’s located around 1.5 hours from Toronto.

5. G Ross Lord Park
Only a short trip from Downtown Toronto, G Ross Lord Park offers over 4 km of trails. This is also a great spot to spot wildlife and birds.

6. Dundas Peak
In the past few years, this spot has gone viral on social media for its stunning lookout and fall colours. Located 1.5 hours from Toronto, the Dundas Peak is a moderately challenging route but it's definitely worth it. Starting September 28th, 2024, reservations are required.

7. David A. Balfour Park
David A. Balfour Park is a great spot to check out if you’re traveling on public transit. Located close to St Clair Subway Station, this park spans 20.5 hectares and features trails that lead down into the ravine.

8. Sunnybrook Park
Sunnybrook Park is a massive park located north of Leaside and south of the Bridle Path. It is a designated Environmentally Significant Area and is home to a diverse habitat of trees, snapping turtles, Great Blue Herons, and more.

9. Kelso Conservation Area
In the winter time, this park operates as the ski and snowboard hill, Glen Eden, but for the rest of the year it features an extensive network of hiking trails. You can also take in the fall colours on a chairlift ride.

10. Humber River Recreational Trail
Located within Étienne Brûlé Park, this trail is a perfect urban wilderness escape. This is a popular spot that connects to the waterfront trail, has various wildlife, and more!

11. Evergreen Brick Works
Evergreen Brick Works is approximately a 20 minute walk from Castle Frank Subway or Sherbourne Subway. This is a great place to go for a nature walk and explore the Don Valley.

12. Ferris Provincial Park
Ferris Provincial Park might be the farthest spot on this list, 2.5 hours from Toronto, but we promise that it will be worth the trip. The highlight of this hike is the suspension bridge over Ranney Gorge that offers stunning views and a great photo op.
