7. Mindreader Jaymes White Presents the Stanley Garrison Séance

8. 6th Annual Healing The Voice Within
This in-person event will be held at the fabulous Liberty Grand Toronto. Healing the Voice Within is The Gatehouse’s Annual Art Gala with live and silent auctions. The event raises awareness and funds to support The Gatehouse, a charitable organization that provides support, resources, and community to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

9. Day of Remembrance ceremony, hosted by Na-Me-Res
A free-to-attend community event, open to anyone seeking to reflect on, honour and better understand the diverse history of Canada’s First Nations, Inuit and Metis people. Hosted by Toronto’s non-profit Indigenous organization Na-Me-Res, the somber gathering will include a sunrise ceremony, sacred fire, traditional drumming and speeches that will honour the victims, survivors and the families impacted by residential schools in Canada as well as reignite calls for action on reconciliation.

10. SPOOKY AT ILLUMI
SPOOKY AT ILLUMI offers an ultimate fall experience for people of all ages and will feature Halloween scenes, iconic horror film soundtracks, whimsical jack-o-lanterns, scarlet spiders, neon skeletons, glowing ghouls and more. The journey spans across 600,000 square feet, which is the equivalent of 10 football fields and features the world’s largest tree of lights. At 47-metres high, this majestic tree is as tall as the Statue of Liberty.

11. Bata Shoe Museum’s Art/Wear
In the new Art/Wear: Sneakers and Artists exhibition, Bata asks why artists are drawn to working on/with sneakers and why so many of us are interested in wearing these pieces. The exhibition also explores the longstanding divide in Western thought between art and fashion, ultimately questioning if and how our collective definitions of art are shifting. Topics explored include: a history of sneakers as canvases, graffiti artists and sneakers, and artist collabs, and the rise of customization as its own art form.

12. Arcadia Earth’s Sustainable Halloween Costume Swap!
The scariest thing about Halloween isn’t the ghosts or goblins—it’s the waste! Every year, Halloween costumes produce more than 2000 tonnes of waste. This year, Arcadia Earth is tackling one of the least sustainable holidays by launching a Halloween Costume Swap at their location in The Well. Gently used costumes can be dropped off or swapped from September 23 to October 31.
