Take on the challenge of climbing up the 1,776 steps of the CN Tower and get ready to train, push yourself and conquer the tower, while showing your support for the community. Each step you take helps connect 1.8 million people to essential services and programs in their communities.

1. Macrame Shelf Workshop
This workshop provides a step-by-step guide to create an elegant piece using a simple repeated knot pattern. You'll craft a unique wall hanging with supplied materials, including a wooden dowel, natural cotton rope, and a 5.5”x 12” wooden shelf. 2. Light: Visionary Perspectives Exhibition
To celebrate the Aga Khan Museum’s 10th anniversary, the exhibition "Light: Visionary Perspectives" will explore the diverse effects of light. Featuring contemporary installations by artists like Anila Quayyum Agha, Tannis Nielsen, Olafur Eliasson, Kimsooja, and Anish Kapoor, the exhibit examines how light shapes history and influences our perceptions and emotions. These artworks highlight the physical properties and symbolism of light, showing its power to unite people, inspire empathy, and emphasize the importance of diversity.

3. Playing Shylock
Saul Rubinek, a famous Canadian actor known for Wall Street, Unforgiven, and Frasier, returns to the stage in a Canadian Stage Production with Starvox Productions. During a performance of The Merchant of Venice, the show is stopped due to public protest, and Rubinek's character, Shylock, gives a heartfelt speech about identity and public conversation.

4. Restorative yoga, breath work and soundbath

5. Toronto Biennial of Art
The 2024 Toronto Biennial, titled Precarious Joys, is a free ten-week event from September 21 to December 1, held at 12 locations throughout Toronto. This year’s theme explores vulnerability, grief, passion, and beauty in driving social change. The Biennial includes open dialogues and poetic connections, examining colonialism’s impact and representation in collective survival. Featuring 37 artists from Canada and around the world, it will also offer public and learning programs, with details announced in July.

7. Apple Pie Contest and Fundraiser
On Saturday, Nov. 9th from 1pm to 3pm, Torontonians can stop by Collective Arts Toronto Taproom & Café (777 Dundas St. West) to pick up a slice of homemade apple pie for $5, with all proceeds being donated to St. Stephen’s Community House. Pastry fans can also purchase raffle tickets at the event for a chance to win an entire apple pie to take home, made and donated by The Great Canadian Baking Show contestants Chi Nguyễn, Lauren Tjoe and Camila Garcia Hernandez as well as from local businesses including Almond Butterfly, La Palma, Harry and the Heels Donuts and Santa Marta Bar y Tapas.
