One of Toronto’s biggest cultural celebrations, AsialiciousTO returns to the city for two weeks full of authentic cuisine, awe-inspiring performances, and incredible artwork! The festival aims to showcase the innovation and creativity of traditional Asian cuisine, with more than 100 vendors participating all over the city! Supported by the City of Toronto, Asialicious will be running for two weeks, starting Saturday, September 10th, and ending on Sunday, September 25th.
This year’s festival has a myriad of participating vendors that are bringing traditional cuisine from all over Asia, featuring culinary staples of China, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and more! Spots to visit include the delicious sushi spot Aburi TORA, Filipino tapas joint Bar’kada, and Hemant Bhagwani’s Goa Indian Farm Kitchen. These restaurants will have special menus priced at $10, $20, and $30, and will feature some of their most popular items; for a list of all the participating establishments and their Asialicious menus, please visit their website!
To kick off the festival this year, AsialiciousTO will be hosting their Asialicious Carnival, starting on Friday, September 9th and running until Sunday, September 11th. This year’s carnival is Hong-Kong themed and will feature multicultural performances, traditional goods workshops, delicious street food, and more! Check out their Instagram to see what’s going on!
To commemorate the festival and highlight the beauty of Asian cuisine, AsialiciousTO will feature artwork from 5 local Asian artists, distributed on postcards at participating restaurants. These unique, collectible art pieces will embody the spirit of the festival and showcase cuisine that is just as gorgeous as it is delicious!
With two weeks of great deals and over 100 restaurants to check out, AsialiciousTO is a must on your to-do list this month. Celebrate Asian culture and heritage after a tumultuous two years, and do so in a mouthwatering way that will keep you coming back for more! The festivities kick off Friday, September 9th at 5 pm. with the Asialicious Carnival, and the full AsialiciousTO festival will commence on Saturday, September 10th.
