This October is shaping up to be one of the most exciting months in recent memory, with a myriad of events, festivals, and activities to partake in. These include film festivals, county fairs, pumpkin patches, art installations, and much more; you’ll never be short on something to do this month, so let’s see what’s happening in Toronto this October!
September 17th to October 31st: PumpkinFest at Downey’s Farm
PumpkinFest, the annual celebration of all things pumpkin at Downey’s Farm, is going on for the entirety of October and features tons of activities including pumpkin picking, wagon rides, live entertainment, and more!

September 23rd to October 31st: Halloween Haunt
One of the spookiest experiences of October, Halloween Haunt returns to Canada’s Wonderland this October! Watch as the country’s biggest theme parks turn into a scream park filled with Halloween attractions that offer unforgettable thrills and unspeakable horror!

September 30th to October 16th: Fall N’ Leaves Pop Up
The Fall N’ Leaves Pop Up brings the pumpkin patch vibe to the city and features a fully-licensed bar, a wood-fire bbq pit, and a variety of different events including wine tasting, paint nights, and live music on Fridays and Saturdays!

September 30th to October 31st: Legends of Horror
The Legends of Horror are returning to the grounds of Casa Loma as they are transformed into an immersive horror experience! Visitors will stroll through a 2 kilometer trail through the castle's tunnels and darkest spaces!

October 1st to October 2nd: Nuit Blanche
Nuit Blanche is back, and this year’s event will be bigger than ever; it will feature more than 150 artworks by local, national, and international artists, and include a variety of augmented reality exhibits!

October 1st to October 31st: Black Lagoon Pop Up
Grab a drink at the Black Lagoon Halloween Pop-up! Check out an immersive, “creepy-as-hell” experience paying homage to the macabre with a splash of goth and metal!

October 4th to October 10th: Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show
The Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show returns to the fairgrounds next weekend! This long-running fair is one of the largest in the province and features a variety of activities and shows, including live motorsports and a live performance by Walk Off The Earth!

October 6th to October 31st: Screemers
Toronto’s original haunted attraction, Screemers is returning and celebrating their 28th year of scares! The park features 7 haunted walk through mazes featuring over 120 live actors, realistic props, and more underneath a 15,000 square foot tent!

October 8th to October 23rd: Toronto PumpkinFest
Toronto’s PumpkinFest is back and due to popular demand, it has been expanded to three weekends! The family friendly event is loaded with fun, including games, an inflatable corn maze, food trucks, entertainment, and of course, a pumpkin patch!

imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival is a cinema festival promoting Indigenous-made media! They do this by developing platforms for artists to assert their voices, express their perspectives, and share their cultures!
