Commemorating the 188th anniversary of the City of Toronto, Celebrate Toronto takes place on Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th at Nathan Phillips Square. The festival showcases an eclectic mix of what the city has to offer, including live performances from Toronto based artists, delicacies from Toronto food trucks, refreshments from the Steam Whistle Beer Garden, and many more activities for everybody!
Musical performances span across many genres, including pop & rock covers, foot-stomping folk music, R&B hits, and all the hits spun by Toronto based DJs (including NOW Toronto’s Best Local DJ, Lucie Tic). Additionally, a convoy of food trucks will be providing a smorgasbord of multicultural cuisine to patrons as they browse the Toronto Made Market; a 6,000 square foot market with over 120 vendors!
There’s much more to do than just eat, dance, and shop; the Imagination Zone features a garden of intriguing sculptures to admire and snap pictures with, and visitors can engage in a round of Toronto Trivia where they have a chance to win incredible prizes, including a $250 voucher from ViaRail, cool gear from Celebrate Toronto, and the Toronto Flag Company.
As the summer comes to a close, the weather is getting a bit cooler and it makes for a great day for activities. If you’re looking for a great party to celebrate this city and everything it has to offer, from delicious treats to handmade goods, then head down to Nathan Phillips Square to Celebrate Toronto!
