1. Exhibition Place
In addition to being home to The CNE, the buildings at Exhibition Place have been the site of paranormal sightings, including apparitions and eerie sounds. They offer guided ghost tours every Friday in October.

2. Casa Loma
This iconic Toronto landmark is as haunted as it is majestic. Casa Loma, once the home of financier Sir Henry Pellatt, is now famous for ghost sightings. If you’re up for an extra scary night, check out their annual Legends of Horror immersive experience.

3. Distillery District
This charming neighbourhood is said to be haunted by former workers and residents. There are ghost walks available all year round with special editions around Halloween.

4. Black Creek Pioneer Village
This recreated 19th-century village is known for its eerie atmosphere, especially at night. Black Creek Pioneer Village is home to several ghost stories, including sightings of shadowy figures and unexplained noises in the old schoolhouse and mill. They offer two different ghost tours, including an intimate paranormal adventure in the dark!

5. Hermitage Ruins
Located approximately an hour from Toronto, the Hermitage Ruins are what remains of an old mansion destroyed by fire in the 1930s. Visitors have reported feeling a heavy presence and hearing ghostly whispers among the old stone walls. Ghost Walks offers a one-of-a-kind tour.

6. Fort Henry
Located in Kingston, Fort Henry has a long history of military occupation, and some say that not all of its residents left when they were supposed to. It’s believed that the fort is haunted by soldiers who died within its walls. They offer spooky experiences in October including Dark Nights on Thursdays where you explore the fort with only a flashlight.

7. Kingston Penitentiary
Also located in Kingston, this former maximum-security prison housed some of Canada’s most notorious criminals so it should come as no surprise that there is a dark energy that remains. It is not officially marketed as a haunted location but their tours are filled with a dark history and eerie atmosphere.

8. Gibraltar Point Lighthouse
Head over to the Toronto Islands to visit one of the city’s oldest buildings. This lighthouse dates back to 1808 and is said to be haunted by the ghost of its first keeper, John Paul Radelmüller, who was murdered in 1815.
