Apple picking is the perfect fall activity to do with the whole family. Here are some of the best apple picking spots near Toronto that you have to visit this fall.

1). Pine Farms Orchard
Pine Farms Orchard is a popular spot for apple picking near Toronto. There is an admission fee to get in and picking from the tree will be $2.35 per lb. They offer a variety of apples to choose from, like Melba, Paula Red, Gravenstein, Sunrise, Ginger Gold and Wealthy apples. Don't forget to grab a bite at their bakeshop that offers homemade cookies, pastries, crisps, butter tarts, pies and more.

Price: Admission fee: Adults/Child 2+ $7.00/per person(tax included), Seniors 65+ $5.00

2). Downey's Strawberry & Apple Farm
Go apple picking at Downey's Strawberry & Apple Farm. This spot offers a variety of different apples, like McIntosh, Honey Crisp, Golden Delicious, Ambrosia, and many more. Important to note is that different apples start at different times, so make sure you head over to their website to see their full calendar.

Price: 10 lb bag of apples for $26 (max 3 people per bag) or a 20 lb bag of apples for $42 (max 5 people per bag).

3). Carl Laidlaw Orchards
Carl Laidlaw Orchards is a great location for apple picking near Toronto and offers a huge selection of apples, like Ginger Gold, Spartan, Russet, Granny Smith and more. With different offerings between early to mid to late September & October, make sure you head over to their website for the full list. FYI, for the past few years, Carl Laidlaw Orchards has been picked out by mid-October, so make sure you head over before then.

Price: Admission fee: Children 2 and older $9 plus hst. Adults 18 and older $15 plus hst.

4). Pingle's Farm Market
One of the most popular activities at Pingle's Farm Market is their pick-your-own fields. Times & activities change daily, so make sure you check out their website for their schedule. If you love Paula Red, Ginger Gold, and Mcintosh, then this is the spot for you.

5). Applewood Farm
Applewood Farm is located minutes away from the 404 on McCowan Road and offers acres of different apples, making it a popular destination for apple picking. They offer a variety of apples to pick from, each with a different time of the season when they are ready to be picked, like Ambrosia, Cortland, Spencer, Honey Gold, and many more.

Price: Admission fee: $10 per person for entry age 3 and up. Children 2 and under enter for FREE

6). Organics Family Farm
Organics Family Farm is located in Markham and is a small family-owned and operated Certified Organic farm. They offer pick-your-own and ready-picked apples, along with a wood-fired bakery and market. Depending on the time, they offer apples like Pristine, Sweet Sixteen, Empire, Liberty, and more. Make sure you head over to their website for the full schedule.

Price: Admission fee: It is $15 per person 3 years old and up to enter the orchard. This price includes a 5lb bag of pick your own apples.

7). Albion Orchards
Albion Orchards is located an hour north of Toronto and is a perfect place for the apple connoisseur. Guests will have the opportunity to pick from a variety of different apples, including McIntosh, Golden Russet, Northern Spy, and more. Most varieties are ready September-October.

Price: Costs is $25 for 10 lb bags (maximum 3 people to share a 10 lb bag) and $45 for a 20 lb bag (maximum 5 people to share a 20 lb bag).
