If you're looking to explore the number of different museums that Toronto has to offer for free, you can! Here are some of the best museums in Toronto that offer free admission.
1. Art Gallery of Ontario
If you love all things art, then you need to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario! If you didn't know, the AGO offers free admission to those under 25 and under. If you are over 25, don't worry, AGO also offers free admission to the public every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Get to explore the various collection galleries and see what AGO has to offer. Important to note that free admission tickets need to be booked in advance online, and only a max of 4 tickets can be booked at one time.

2. Royal Ontario Museum
Looking to explore the Royal Ontario Museum without having to spend a single penny? The ROM offers free admissions on the third Tuesday night of each month, starting from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Get to explore the different galleries, as well as special exhibitions. Advanced tickets or booking isn't required and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. AGA Khan Museum
AGA Khan Museum offers free admission on Wednesday nights from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Explore all the beautiful pieces of art and pieces of history in this museum. Don't forget to grab your ticket, as there are limited tickets available starting at 9 AM each Wednesday.

4. MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art)
Every Friday night, MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) offers the public free admission from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Powered by Scotiabank, get to be immersed in contemporary art, various exhibitions, explore the historic building, and so much more. Guests can book in advance or can drop in on the day as well.

5. Bata Shoe Museum
Have you been to the Bata Shoe Museum before? Located just a few steps away from St. George Station, this museum offers free admission for Indigenous visitors, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis. Not only that, but admission to the Bata Shoe Museum is free every Sunday. If you love all things shoes, then this is where you want to go. This museum displays over 1000s of different shoes and related artefacts. Get to see different styles of shoes, ranging from Chinese bound-foot shoes to Egyptian sandals, and many more.
